Import / Export

Import/export a license file

If you activated dotNet Protector for USB stick instant activation, several computers will share the same license file.

You should then export the license file from the computer you activated dotNet Protector, and import it on other computers where you want to use dotNet Protector.

NOTE: in the USB activation case, you can use dotNet Protector on every computer evrey time, as long as the activated usb device remains attached.

In the instant activation case a computer running dotNet Protector acquires a 'license token' for one day. No other computer could get a token for the same license on the same day.

 

Import/export a keyset

Key set is implied in hardware lock mechanism, when you implement programs and components activation.

Your protected assemblies will embed the public part of your keyset. Private part will be used by you to build product keys and licenses.

If you loose your keyset, you'll be unable to produce licenses for your products.

It is of primary importance to export your key set make a backup of it.

If you must reinstall dotNet Protector, or use dotNet Protector on several computers, you will be able to import the exported keyset.
